However - under the surface, problems are developing in markets like Los Angeles and San Francisco. With homebuyer demand at decade lows and affordability at the worst level in history. Meanwhile, a historic surge of homeowners leaving California continues.
The result is that home prices across California's real estate market could drop in 2024 if inventory and homes for sale increases enough. Especially in heavily overvalued markets like Riverside, Orange County, and Yuba.
