‘Big impacts’ to housing market expected with interest rate cuts

REA Group Chief Economist Angus Moore says interest rate cuts will have some “big impacts” in the housing market.

Mr Moore told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood that as rates fall, mortgage rates “fall as well”.

“That boosts borrowing capacities, and therefore what people are prepared to pay, and that tends to see home prices increase.”
