Home sales for the top 7 cities hit a peak growth of 31% yearly growth in 2023, as per data by Anarock. Bengaluru saw the highest rise in sales and highest fall in inventories in 2023. Several real estate stocks like Brigade, Prestige and Macrotech Developers have doubled over the past one year. The only sore point has been the Affordable Housing segment. The sales in the affordable housing segment fell by a huge 26% versus the pre-COVID year of 2018. What does 2024 hold for the real estate sector? Will home and office space do better in 2024?
