Police: 1 dead, 3 hospitalized after shooting at Tampa Holiday Inn

One person was killed and three were hospitalized after a shooting in a hotel parking lot in Tampa.

Tampa Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 4:40 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Tampa North on East Fowler Avenue. Public Information Officer for Tampa Police Jonee Lewis Police said at a news conference this morning that two cars were shot at with a total of four people being shot.

Guests in the hotel didn't have to be evacuated, but police are on the scene to assist them if needed, she said. They are addressing concerns and escorting guests in and out of the hotel.
