States Demand Landlords Give Back Millions In Rent Assistance Money

State and municipalities are demanding that landlords pay back pandemic rental assistance money that was distributed by mistake.

They are claiming that the landlords and tenants were not eligible for the rental assistance and some landlords could be on the hook for tens of thousands of dollars in money owed back to the government.
