The Nine Entertainment Group is under siege after its real estate site Domain became the subject of a share market raid late Thursday.
American real estate firm CoStar reportedly proposed a $AU2.7 billion offer to buy Domain.
CoStar acquired a 16.9 per cent stake in the company on Thursday and has suggested purchasing the rest of the shares at $AU4.20 per share in cash.
Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood noted the raid itself was “almost exquisite”.
