A realistic look at this craft. It takes research, time and money to even start.

We bought this house for $137K, it is NOW worth $380K, but we don’t own it. LOL. My goal was to buy a home in need of repair and live in it for 3-5 years while fixing it up and sell it, which is what we did with this house with 2 basement apartments – but only one was a REAL apartment.

If you are new to this, you NEED to check out this video. DO NOT depend on contractors, but instead do the DIY work yourself and only leave Pro stuff to contractors. It will be way more affordable and less frustrating.

Buying a USED home comes with many problems and challenges, and while there are tons of contractors out there, a lot of are certified, bonded and\or legit, so be careful. The ones that are, take forever to finish a job once they start because NEW clients are more important than finishing OLD jobs.
